
NASA’s Artemis II mission, scheduled for 2026, will mark the first crewed flight around the Moon since the Apollo program. This historic mission is a major milestone in modern space exploration and a key step toward sustainable human presence beyond Earth.
Artemis II will launch four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft, powered by NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. During the mission, the crew will travel thousands of kilometers beyond low Earth orbit, orbit the Moon, and safely return to Earth. Although no lunar landing is planned, the mission will thoroughly test critical systems needed for future Moon landings.
